A State Council executive meeting presided over by Premier Li Qiang on Friday stressed the need to adopt pragmatic and forceful measures to promote the high-quality development of Xiong'an New Area.

The meeting called for steps to enhance both the momentum for relocating noncapital functions from Beijing and the capacity of Xiong'an to absorb them.

It highlighted measures to advance high-quality construction and efficient governance, leveraging the strengths of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region to foster a modern industrial system and continuously strengthen endogenous growth drivers.

Policymakers at the meeting emphasized the significance of fully tapping into the growth potential of the services sector and developing higher-quality, more diverse and convenient consumer services. The meeting also called for coordinated efforts to strengthen the tiered diagnosis and treatment system and primary-level healthcare capacity.
