Customer representatives unveil a tunnel boring machine to be exported to Italy at the second industrial park of China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Corp in Changsha, the capital of Hunan province, on Thursday. With an excavation diameter of 9.68 meters, the machine is about 175 meters long and weighs around 2,600 metric tons. Equipped with multiple advanced technologies, the large-scale hard rock boring machine will be put into service on Italy's Fortezza railway project.
