Children dressed in hanfu — Chinese traditional clothing — and Li, Miao and Hui ethnic minority costumes demonstrate the Chinese character "ren", or "people", they wrote in a writing ceremony at a Confucian temple in Sanya, Hainan province, on Sunday. Nearly 100 students completed the ancient ritual, marking a new stage of life in pursuing knowledge and etiquette.
