
A 419-metric-ton passive containment cooling water storage tank is lowered into place for Unit 4 at the Haiyang nuclear power plant in Shandong province on Monday. The operation completes the major module work for the plant's second-phase expansion. Utilizing domestically designed technology for its newest units, the full four-unit site is projected to produce up to 40 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity per year by 2027.
