To Lam to visit China from April 14 to 17

At the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chinese President Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Vietnamese President To Lam will pay a four-day state visit to China starting on Tuesday.

During the visit, Xi will hold talks with To Lam, and Premier Li Qiang, top legislator Zhao Leji and top political adviser Wang Huning will meet with him separately, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said at a regular news briefing in Beijing on Thursday.

Mao said that choosing China as the destination for his first overseas visit since his recent election as president of Vietnam fully reflects the high importance To Lam attaches to developing relations between the two parties and the two countries.
