Staff members from Taiyuan North Station in Shanxi province oversee departing trains loaded with coal as the annual Spring Festival travel rush started on Monday. As a key hub to transport coal and steel out of Shanxi, the station loads an average of 1,034 vehicles daily. As an important national energy base, the province provides stable coal supplies for 24 provincial-level regions in China.
