Uruguayan president to visit China

At the invitation of President Xi Jinping, President of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay Yamandu Orsi will pay a seven-day state visit to China starting from Sunday.

During the visit, Xi will hold talks with Orsi, and have an in-depth exchange of views on deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Uruguay, and promoting high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, as well as international and regional issues of shared concern, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said on Monday.

New book on Xi's stories with frontline workers published

A new book documenting President Xi Jinping's interactions with frontline workers, compiled by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, has been published by China Workers Press and distributed nationwide.

The volume features 23 interview transcripts, featuring Xi's engagements with workers at construction sites, factories and ports in places including Hebei, Zhejiang and Fujian provinces, as well as Shanghai municipality.

Premier hears opinions on draft policy documents

Premier Li Qiang chaired a symposium in Beijing on Monday to hear opinions and suggestions on the draft government work report and the draft outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30).

Participants at the meeting were leaders of non-Communist Party of China political parties and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, as well as representatives of personages without party affiliation.

After hearing the participants' remarks, Li stressed that the opinions and suggestions put forward are of great value for improving the drafts of the two policy documents.
