People celebrate Laba Festival on the eighth day of the 12th month on the Chinese calendar, which heralds the arrival of the Chinese New Year season, at a kindergarten in Leshan, Sichuan province, on Monday. The kindergarten invited Chinese and international friends to participate in traditional activities such as writing Spring Festival couplets, presenting the Chinese character fu (blessing) and putting up window paper-cuttings.
