Tug-of-war contestants pull on a rope with all their might during a horse racing festival on Saturday in Nagqu, the Xizang autonomous region. The three-day festival, which kicked off on Friday, is a traditional affair in the northern Tibetan Plateau. In addition to horse racing, the festival also features a variety of ethnic sports competitions, art performances and cultural tourism activities.
