A giant thangka Tibetan painting measuring 40 meters high and 38 meters long is displayed during a celebration at Tashilhunpo Monastery in Shigatse, Xizang autonomous region, on Wednesday. The event will last three days. Tashilhunpo Monastery is one of the six great monasteries of the Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism.
