State builders working on the Xi'an-Chongqing High-speed Railway project bore through Wujialan No 2 Tunnel, which poses challenges to construction workers, such as minimizing disruptions to neighboring transportation lines. The HSR aims to play a key role in facilitating transportation between the western and other regions of China, participating State contractor China Railway 24th Bureau Group Corp said.
