Sino-EU relations stressed to advance steady development

China is ready to work with the European side to uphold partnership, mutual respect, win-win cooperation and multilateralism, and jointly advance the steady and sustained development of China-European Union relations, China's top legislator Zhao Leji said on Tuesday during a meeting in Beijing with Younous Omarjee, vice-president of the European Parliament.

Zhao, chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee, said that the exchange mechanism between the NPC and the European Parliament has played an important role in advancing practical cooperation.

Omarjee said the European Parliament adheres to the one-China policy and stands ready to strengthen dialogue and exchanges.

Han Zheng meets officials of Bangladesh Nationalist Party

Vice-President Han Zheng met in Beijing on Tuesday with a high-ranking cadre delegation of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party led by Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, secretary-general of the party and minister of local government, rural development and cooperatives.
