A herder tends sheep on the grasslands of the Sunan Yugur autonomous county in Zhangye, Gansu province, on Tuesday, as about 250,000 livestock gradually return from seasonal grazing in other parts of the province. The practice, which relocates herds for five to six months during colder seasons, helps reduce ecological pressure and promote grassland recovery.
