Greetings exchanged over successful launch of Algerian satellite

President Xi Jinping and Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune exchanged congratulations on Saturday over the successful launch of an Algerian remote-sensing satellite from Jiuquan in northwestern China.

Xi said the Algerian remote-sensing satellite project, which follows the launch of an Algerian communication satellite, is another successful cooperation between China and Algeria in the aerospace sector, and is an important manifestation of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

Xi said he is willing to work with President Tebboune to continuously enrich the comprehensive strategic partnership, in order to better benefit the people of both countries.

Tebboune said the recent successful satellite launch is another substantial achievement in aerospace cooperation between Algeria and China, and a new milestone in the development of bilateral relations.

Xi's article on boosting country's financial strength published

An article by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, on following the path of financial development with Chinese characteristics and boosting China's strength in finance was published on Sunday in this year's third issue of the Qiushi Journal, a flagship magazine of the CPC Central Committee.

According to the article, China's financial development with Chinese characteristics not only follows the path of the development of modern finance, but also has distinctive features that suit China's national conditions.

It noted that a financially robust country should be based on a strong economic foundation, possessing world-leading economic, scientific, technological and overall national strength.

The country should also have a series of key core financial elements, such as a strong currency and central bank, robust financial institutions and international financial centers, solid financial supervision, and a high-caliber team of financial talent, the article said.
