Four groups in Europe designated 'terrorists'
The United States on Thursday designated four entities in Germany, Italy and Greece as "global terrorists", accusing them of being "violent Antifa groups" as US President Donald Trump takes aim at left-wing groups. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he had designated German-based Antifa Ost as "Specially Designated Global Terrorists", along with three other groups in Greece and Italy, in an effort to build on Trump's "commitment to confront Antifa's campaign of political violence". Antifa, short for "anti-fascist", is a decentralized movement without a clear structure, command hierarchy or leader.

Paris honors victims of attacks 10 years on
The bells of Notre Dame rang out on Thursday to honor the 130 people killed in jihadist shootings and suicide bombings in Paris 10 years ago, in France's worst-ever peacetime attacks. On Nov 13, 2015, assailants from the Islamic State group killed around 90 people at the Bataclan concert hall. They ended the lives of dozens more at Parisian restaurants and cafes, and one person near the Stade de France football stadium.
