Children from across France and abroad cheer during a concert at the Champ-de-Mars in Paris on Wednesday, part of the 46th annual day of activities for youngsters who could not go on vacation. Some 40,000 children enjoyed a cruise on the Seine, a giant picnic at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, and an air display by Alpha Jets, with many discovering the French capital for the first time.
