Yang Mingzhong, an inheritor of Qinglong shadow puppet art, which was named a provincial intangible cultural heritage in 2012, demonstrates how to play with a shadow puppet to a girl on a sightseeing train connecting Beijing and the coastal city of Qinhuangdao in Hebei province, on Sunday. Qinglong shadow puppet art, which dates back to the early 1900s, has been popular in eastern Hebei, with various characters vividly depicted in bright colors on donkey skins. Yang introduced the shadow puppet art on the train to allow more people to experience the charm of traditional culture during their journey.
