Employees from Houma North Engineering Section in Shanxi province use a machine to unload sleepers while preparing to conduct maintenance on the Houma-Yueshan railway. The mechanised system not only saves time, but also improves overall construction efficiency while enhancing the safety of workers. Previously, a concrete sleeper weighing over 400 kilograms needed at least five employees to unload it with crowbars and ropes.
