Vice-president: China willing to jointly promote world peace, prosperity

Vice-President Han Zheng said on Thursday that China is willing to work with all countries to jointly promote world peace and prosperity and to build a better world together, as he attended the opening ceremony of the 13th World Peace Forum in Beijing.

In remarks delivered at the opening ceremony, Han said that the world is currently experiencing accelerated changes, with international and regional hot spot issues emerging one after another.

He said President Xi Jinping has put forward the vision of building a community with a shared future for humankind, along with the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative, providing a Chinese solution to major issues concerning human peace and development.

To build a better world together, Han proposed that all parties adhere to learning from history and jointly maintain the postwar international order, uphold unity and coordination to jointly improve global governance, promote openness and cooperation to jointly advance global prosperity and development, and stick together through thick and thin to jointly move toward modernization.
