Auto exports fall on US tariffs imposition
South Korea's auto exports fell for a second consecutive month in May, hit by US tariff measures and weaker demand for eco-friendly sedans, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said on Tuesday. Car shipments dropped 4.4 percent year-on-year to $6.2 billion, following a 3.8 percent decline in April. Exports to the US tumbled 27.1 percent to $2.52 billion, while shipments to the European Union and Asia saw double-digit growth.

Imports of Thai fruits, vegetables banned
Cambodia on Tuesday banned imports of fruits and vegetables from Thailand, the country's immigration chief said. "We have prohibited the imports of fruits and vegetables from Thailand at all border crossings, starting from this morning," said Sok Veasna, director-general of the General Department of Immigration. Border tensions between Cambodia and Thailand have mounted recently after soldiers of both countries briefly exchanged gunfire in a disputed border area, resulting in the death of a Cambodian soldier.
