Located in Shuyang county, the project is an expansion of the local power system undertaken by local grid operator State Grid Suqian Power Supply Co to ensure power supply in rural areas. The newly completed 500-kilovolt substation represents an addition of 1 million kV capacity to the local power network, the company said.
