Rescue team members search for survivors on Friday at the site of a mudslide in a village in Longsheng county in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, after a mountain torrent and mudslide hit early on Friday morning. A preliminary assessment by local authorities showed that eight people were suspected to be missing and 10 houses sustained damage. Rescue efforts are underway in the village. See story, page 2
