
Activists for women's rights petition on Wednesday for preserving the Statue of Peace in Berlin, Germany. The statue commemorates over 400,000 girls and women around the world who were forced into sex work by the Japanese military during World War II. A district office in Berlin has ordered Korea Verband, the group that installed the statue, to remove it before Sept 28 or face fines.
