Tianjin Airlines, which was founded in 2009, has always been committed to providing passengers with safe and efficient air services.
Over the past 15 years, it has enhanced operational and service levels of staff members, and improved the air travel experience for passengers, the company said.
In November 2023, the company launched a campaign to upgrade services among its more than 200 flight routes. Initiatives include offering a free checked baggage allowance up to 20 kilograms for economy-class passengers and relaxing restrictions on the size of carry-on luggage.
Additionally, Tianjin Airlines places importance on passengers' opinions and feedback. It has upgraded the "voice of customers" window by integrating the ground, cabin and ticket service platforms, in a bid to provide passengers with a more convenient channel for inquiries, complaints and suggestions.
The company has also enhanced product development and created a variety of new products tailored to different passenger needs, making their journeys more efficient, convenient and enjoyable.
Tianjin Airlines' service upgrade campaign was recognized as an outstanding case in Tianjin city's transportation industry in 2023.
Moreover, to promote Chinese traditional culture globally, the company has developed several themed activities in the cabin featuring Tianjin culture, such as kuaiban (a traditional Chinese talk show with rhythmic bamboo clappers) and xiangsheng (crosstalk comedy).
For example, a crew member may perform stand-up crosstalk named "Touring Tianjin" in the local dialect during the flight, allowing passengers from around the world to learn about the city and feel its charm via traditional artistic performances.
Tianjin Airlines also provides several local specialty in-flight meals, including Tianjin-style zhajiangmian (noodles with fried brown sauce) and Tianjin baozi (Chinese steamed buns) to passengers.
Leveraging its routes' resources, the company has introduced some agricultural products from various provinces and cities, aiming to enrich its in-flight shopping options, which also serves poverty alleviation to support local economic development.
In January, for instance, Tianjin Airlines added Zunyi chaotianjiao, one of the nationally renowned chili peppers produced in Southwest China's Guizhou province, onto its shopping list, together with Zunyi black tea, a national geographical indication product.
In March, the company introduced Wuchang rice from Northeast China and lamb from Inner Mongolia, through collaboration with HNA Cargo.
According to Tianjin Airlines, the service improvements and industrial upgrade are inseparable from talent cultivation. The company said it will focus on nurturing high-quality and skilled civil aviation professionals with top-notch services.
