The crewed deep-sea submersible Fendouzhe returns to Sanya, Hainan province, aboard the scientific research ship Tan Suo Yi Hao on Thursday. The submersible recently completed a Sino-Indonesian joint deep-sea scientific expedition mission in the Java Trench in the Indian Ocean. Fourteen of its 22 diving missions in the trench exceeded a depth of 6,000 meters.
