More classified material found at Biden home
Five additional pages of classified material have been found at Joe Biden's family home in Delaware, the White House said on Saturday in a new twist in a politically sensitive affair for the president. Biden said he had no intention of keeping any classified documents. White House lawyer Richard Sauber said the latest papers were found after he visited the home on Thursday. As these lawyers lacked the necessary security clearance to read it, they notified the Justice Department, Sauber said.
Trump Organization fined $1.6m for tax fraud
The Trump Organization was ordered to pay $1.6 million in fines on Friday for tax fraud and other crimes. Two subsidiaries, owned by former president Donald Trump, were both sentenced to the maximum penalty under New York laws. The Trump Organization has denied all wrongdoing. Peru declared a state of emergency late on Saturday in the capital Lima and three other regions due to protests against President Dina Boluarte. The measure, in force for 30 days, authorizes the army to intervene to maintain order and suspends several constitutional rights. Protesters have marched across the country demanding new elections and the removal of Boluarte. She has refused to step down.
