The world's first "super" slurry balance tunnel boring machine is unveiled in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on Saturday, It boasts features such as a large diameter, the ability to go a long distance, and withstand high water pressure and deep burial. It will subsequently be utilized in the Chongming-Taicang Yangtze River Tunnel project. The tunnel will allow the high-speed railway to cross the Yangtze River estuary from Shanghai to Suzhou, Jiangsu province.
